Arran Brass

Arran Brass Band is the Isle of Arran’s only Brass Band (Arran is the only Scottish island to have it’s own Brass Band as far as we know), we currently have 14 members (and are always recruiting). We were formed in 1983 by Ian Cargill and are currently conducted by Dave Payn. We practise on a Wednesday at Whiting Bay village Hall at 7pm. Every year we have a few of our own concerts but we are more regularly seen at ACT’s( Arran Churches Together) events or public organized events (especially at christmas) i.e. we play at the switching on of the christmas lights, in both Brodick and Lamlash.
